- Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) software;
- Electrical equipment protection relays testing and calibration;
- Electrical equipment trip investigation and Root Cause Analysis report preparation;
- Power plant electrical equipment arc-flash hazard analysis and corrective action implementation;
- Electrical protection relays software and tools including SEL ACSelerator Quickset, SEL SynchroWave Event, and Studio);
- Electrical capex project budget preparation and execution; and
- Experience assisting plant finance team to generate monthly tariff reports.

Title: Project Electrical Engineer
Location: Long Beach, CA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)
Employer: AES US Services, LLC
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop electrical system specifications, layouts, and schematics for Capex projects, including scopes, alternative solutions, justifications, and construction drawings. Prepare labor, material specifications, budgets, and procurement plans for assigned Capex projects. Ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and regulations. Conduct inspections and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in large-scale electrical generation facilities and equipment. Perform root cause analysis on electrical system failures and incidents. Control equipment modifications and installations implementing AES's management of change process.
10% domestic travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Job requires Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in any occupation involving electrical project management of electrical systems and equipment.
Job requires 5 years of experience in each of the following:
SALARY: $161,949 per year. Standard corporate benefits provided.
