    Description

    In this role, you'll be at the forefront of creating and executing cutting-edge Avionics and Electrical Systems. Your responsibilities will encompass Harnessing, Battery and Power Systems, Sensors, Mechanisms, Navigation, Safety Systems, and Flight Computers, all within demanding timelines.

    You'll play a crucial role in driving the hands-on implementation phase, collaborating closely with the team to understand customer requirements and seamlessly integrate them into Vehicle and Architecture Design.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the design, development, construction, and testing of avionics systems.
    • Accelerate execution and iteration efforts to swiftly deploy hardware into orbit.
    • Cultivate technical excellence and foster ownership within the Avionics engineering team by mentoring new members and setting high standards for results delivery.
    • Design avionics systems aligned with company and mission objectives, offering new capabilities for the in-space economy.
    • Navigate requirements by deeply understanding company and mission goals, providing alternative solutions.
    • Execute test plans aligned with mission risk posture and take ownership of test campaign outcomes.
    • Conduct design reviews, test readiness reviews, and flight readiness reviews with a focus on technical excellence.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
    • 3+ years of experience designing complex electrical and/or control systems for harsh environments (e.g., autonomous vehicles, drones, spacecraft).
    • Ability to maintain flexibility in direction amidst changing circumstances.
    • Proven track record of delivering innovative, high-quality technical products.
    • Experience managing analysis products and incorporating feedback into design.
