- Supports in providing individual care for a group of patients under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
- Assists in patient/family education under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Contributes to patient care assessment.
- Participates in patient care delivery.
- Engages in departmental and unit educational activities.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for patient care across different age groups and developmental stages.

- Education: Must be currently enrolled in a registered nursing program as a junior or senior, or in the second year of an associate degree in nursing program.
- Certification: Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS training is mandatory.
- Relevant experience: Preferred to have some healthcare experience; no specific years required.
