    Position Summary:

    The Nurse Technician I supports patient/family education and assists in providing individual care for a group of patients under the guidance of a licensed nurse.

    1. Supports in providing individual care for a group of patients under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
    2. Assists in patient/family education under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
    3. Contributes to patient care assessment.
    4. Participates in patient care delivery.
    5. Engages in departmental and unit educational activities.
    6. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for patient care across different age groups and developmental stages.
    7. Performs other necessary duties.

    Education and Experience

    1. Education: Must be currently enrolled in a registered nursing program as a junior or senior, or in the second year of an associate degree in nursing program.
    2. Certification: Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS training is mandatory.
    3. Relevant experience: Preferred to have some healthcare experience; no specific years required.
    4. Supervisory experience: Not mandatory
