Description

We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Systems Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Washington, DC surrounding area.

**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.**

Job Responsibilities:

Support SBS ADS-B BSFS Team with programmatic and acquisition requests
Coordinate with task leads to define scope, collect data
Support the development of FAA project WBS and program schedule
Support milestone and business plan goal development and reporting
Conduct schedule reviews and develop and update required reports to management
Support the development of JRC documents and briefings
Establish performance measures for post-implementation assessments
Conduct benefit-risk assessment and develop risk-adjusted benefits baseline

Basic Hiring Criteria:

At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's in an engineering discipline is required. A Master's degree in any field (e.g MS, MA, MBA) counts for three years of additional experience, and a PhD counts for three years additional experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Project, Power Point, and Word
Extensive understanding of the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS)
Familiarity with procurement processes
Prior acquisition and contract management experience with the FAA
Proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; as well as, the ability to identify and resolve issues
Apply analytical techniques in gathering data to solve complex technical problems (e.g., requirements definition, operations research, modeling)
