    Head of People Operations

    Location: Santa Monica, CA (On-site)

    Company: Tixr

    Compensation: $110K/yr - $150K/yr + bonus + equity

    Employment Type: Full-time

    Tixr is on a mission to transform the ticket buying experience with a modern approach to a legacy business. Born from a fan-focused frame of mind, we empower large-scale events, music venues, and sports properties with modern, innovative solutions to their highly-complex ticketing and e-commerce needs. Our unified commerce platform is built for big, supporting all types of events, from festivals to global arena tours, and an almost limitless suite of commerce offerings beyond admission tickets.

    Work-Life:

    This role is hybrid in the office 3-5 times per week depending on work needs at our Santa Monica office, located on the 3rd Street Promenade. Most teams run West Coast Hours with lots of autonomy. At this time, we are only able to hire US Citizens or active US Green Card holders.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to promote a culture reflective of Tixrs core values.
    • Be a strategic partner for organizational and management issues, including talent recruiting, assessment, development, overall organizational design, and optimization.
    • Ensure all company values, policies, programs, and practices support the Tixr brand.
    • Develop, administer, and measure compensation, benefit, and employee incentive programs used to attract and retain employees.
    • Craft and implement Tixrs brand strategy for recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
    • Lead HR strategy and compliance for international expansion and cross-border hiring efforts.
    • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with management and employees to deliver value-added services.
    • Continually assess benefit plans, including employee participation and feedback to deliver comprehensive programs for the team.
    • Partner with Finance to maintain compliance in all matters of employment and stay current on regulatory, market, and practice changes and trends.
    • Execute new-hire onboarding and maintenance of administrative documents.
    • Manage, communicate, and ensure compliance with workplace protocols to ensure the health and safety of the team.
    • Provide coaching to all levels of leadership and management on employee feedback, development opportunities, goal setting, and performance management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
    • At least eight (8) years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience.
    • SHRM certification is strongly preferred.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration.
    • Experience with state registrations for remote employees and international visa types (H1B).
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of employment-related laws and regulations on federal and state levels.
    • Experience working with an international employee base (Canada, UK, and EU preferred).
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a senior management team to lead an organization.
    • Values-based leader, acts with integrity and credibility, engages with, and internalizes Tixrs brand values.
    • Ability to effectively influence, build trust, and interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Superior interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Passion for the ticketing and entertainment industry.
    • Experience with Rippling HRIS and ATS is preferred.
