RMA Northern California, part of the
RMA network of fertility practices in the United States is seeking a full-time Entry Level Embryology Lab Assistant to work Wednesday - Friday and every other weekend, 6:30am-4:30pm in our
San Francisco location. You will be responsible for executing general IVF laboratory duties including daily quality control procedures, data entry, preparation of patient paperwork, and maintenance of lab supply inventories. This position requires flexibility, the willingness to take on multiple tasks and roles, and work with instruction or direction from the laboratory supervisor. If you are a recent college graduate with a degree in Biology or a Lab Science, this would be the ideal job for you
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Prepares reviews clinical charts
- Responsible for collecting and documenting daily quality control data
- Assists with instrument calibrations and maintenance
- Participates in laboratory operations, procedures, and projects as directed
- Verifies specimen chain of custody during lab procedures
- Performs embryo culture dish preparation and related lab duties
- Assists embryologists with the general lab duties
- Responsible for ordering/receiving lab supplies and maintaining inventories
Academic Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a Lab Science _preferred_
Position Requirements/Experiences:
- Previous lab experience (_preferred_)
- Ability to understand and interpret pertinent policies clearly
- Excellent interpersonal, listening and communications skills
- Ability to multitask
- Aptitude to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
- Ability to understand and interpret pertinent lab regulatory policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and communicate accurately
Technical Skills:
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (_preferred_)
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
