Lead the Charge in Safe, Sustainable, and Savory Success as Our Production Supervisor at My Forest FoodsThe Production Supervisor at My Forest Foods is responsible for managing and leading a team of Production Operators in food production, with a strong focus on safety practices, SOP development, and driving production growth for MyBacon branded products.
This role will play a vital role in ensuring a happy, safe, and high-performing production team while meeting quality, safety, and productivity targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Lead and oversee the production of MyBacon branded products, consistently meeting or exceeding quality, safety, and productivity goalsCollaborate with management to define production facility requirements and provide recommendations for creating a conducive production environment that promotes employee well-being and high performanceRegularly interface with the Director of Operations, disseminating strategic guidance aligned with company objectives to guide and direct production effortsManage the Production Operators, including responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, compensation reviews, employee relations, and fostering continuous development through goal setting and performance reviewsEnsure the My Forest Foods production team is appropriately staffed to achieve company goals, while striving to build a world-class food production teamAdhere to and enforce the Food Safety Plan, Quality System, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other relevant regulationsManage the flow and inspection of incoming production materialsEffectively manage the production schedule to meet order commitmentsOversee the packaging and storage of finished food productsTrack inventory of raw materials and finished goodsPerform other duties as assignedAbility to work independentlyMinimum Qualifications and Competencies:College degree highly preferred5 years of experience in food production with a leadership mindset preferredExperience leading a food production team in a large-scale food production facility, preferredFood production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with produce and/or vegetarian or vegan productsDemonstrated excellence in managing and developing high-performance production teamsStrong interest in the meat alternative market and ability to compare traditional products to alternative meat productsMotivational and authentic leader of people and teamsInspired by the opportunity to make a significant impact on the planetCommitted to creating the world's most delicious foodsSkilled in identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvementData-driven and systems thinkerCollaborative approach, working effectively across cross-functional teams to drive growthThrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces changeConfident in suggesting ideas and receiving feedbackSafety-oriented mindset, actively seeking ways to improve safety in the workplaceFamiliarity with Google Apps platform (email, calendar, sheets, docs, forms) and Slack ServSafe and/or HACCP/HARPC certifications preferredStrong emphasis on GMP's, quality control and cleanlinessStrong verbal and written communication skillsSupervisory Responsibilities :Production staff of 5-10 associatesWork Environment/
