Salary Range:
$68,752 to $98,110 per year

YOUR ROLE

Are you known for your ability to coordinate customs clearance activities? Are you passionate about supervising the daily operations of imported/exported shipments? If so, we have an opportunity for you to lead a department focused on providing excellent customer service through efficient shipment processing, while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Develop and deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers consistently. Ensure that service commitments for CEVA import clients are met and that accurate declarations are submitted to U.S. Customs and relevant regulatory bodies. Act as the liaison with Customs and other Federal Agencies to guarantee compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and reconcile all departmental management and financial reports. Regularly assess the profitability and growth of the department with operations. Collaborate with operations to set business plans and objectives for the department.
  • Supervise the calculation of duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise moving to and from foreign destinations. Oversee the preparation of U.S. Customs Documentation by assigned services staff on in-house systems; communicate with customs officials as needed to facilitate incoming freight release and resolve any delays.
  • Monitor pre-alerts daily to track incoming freight and ensure timely document receipt within specified time standards.
  • Coordinate the prompt clearance and delivery of cargo following company and customer service standards. Keep customers informed of changes in regulations, tariffs, and bonding requirements, ensuring proper goods handling.
  • Verify that documents comply with federal and foreign regulations governing product shipment, receipt, and documentation.
  • Establish, monitor, and update policies, procedures, and service standards for customs clearance operations. Develop procedures for managing each account effectively.
  • Supervise and evaluate team performance, ensuring task accuracy, providing training, conducting annual performance appraisals, and offering improvement feedback.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, or a similar combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program preferred; Minimum four years of relevant experience; Supervisory experience is advantageous.
  • Credentials: Professional certification may be required in specific areas; Proficient in Export Administration, Department of Commerce, and Consularization regulations, Uniform Custom Practice 500 (UCP 500), recordkeeping, NATA, Free Trade Agreements, CTPAT, additional tariff requirements, OGA's, ACH, and all related trade legislation and rules.
