- Create high level requirements for the human-machine interface across multiple platforms, informed by certification guidelines and user insights
- Design, scope, and run primary user research studies with test pilots and other target users in the context of general aviation including vehicles and the overall related aviation ecosystem.
- Develop user personas to inform design across a variety of platforms and projects
- Facilitate design research synthesis and collaboratively generate insights and opportunities for product development
- Employ both qualitative and quantitative research methods to support design decisions
- Creates, evaluates, and modifies prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors Engineering, Usability Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience supporting Human Factors design in Aerospace, Automotive, or similar industries
- Experience with aircraft avionics systems software and hardware
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Master's Degree. in Human Factors Engineering,Usability Engineering Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience supporting Human Factors design in Aerospace, Automotive, or similar industries
- Certified Associate or Full Human Factors, Ergonomics or User Experience Professional (AHFP, AUXP, AEP, CHFP, CPE, CUXP)
- Proven track record in New Product Development with a focus in Human Factors, from concept to production
