Summary:
Bilingual Medical Assistant will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
The goal is to complete all activities accurately, deliver a high level of customer service and in a timely manner.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record patients' vital signs, document providers' notes and changes in medical conditions in EMR
- Document patients' medical information, including medical history and pharmacy information in EMR
- Ensure all consent forms and other forms & documents are completed by patients
- Prepare exam rooms, procedures and assist providers with patient care
- Assist providers during annual exams, problem visits, consultations, outpatient procedures and other visits
- Document patient symptoms for providers' review prior to and during exams
- Provide compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits
- Prepare and administer medications/injections under the direction of providers
- Perform data entry tasks to document patient records within EMR and update medicines, surgeries, and other pertinent information in patients' chart
- Sterilize instruments and other tools used
- Manage medical supplies and order supplies to ensure medical inventory is well stocked
- Take fluid samples and send them to the appropriate laboratory for analysis
- Call patients to communicate lab results, post op care instructions, followup visit requests, and other provider communications as directed
- Work with Front Office to ensure patient flow is not interrupted or stagnant
- Contribute to the team effort to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction/customer service
- Protect patients' right by maintaining confidentiality and follow HIPPA regulations
- Cover duties and tasks when coworkers are out of the office
- Authorize prescription refills as directed by providers
- Provider miscellaneous administrative support to providers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of twoyears of Medical Assistant experience
- Certified Medical Assistant _(preferred)_
- Bilingual
- Spanish _(preferred)_
- Multitasking, Flexible, Good Attendance, Telephone Skills & Etiquette, Data-Entry, Organizational Skills, Customer Service, and Time Management
Work Schedule:
- Monday
- Friday 7:45AM to 5:15 PM
- Saturday 8:45 to 1:30 PM _(As Assigned
- Two (2) Saturdays per month)_
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
