Pharmaceutical-Technical Assistant (PTA) Training in Toronto

As a PTA, you will support customers in pharmacies with all their health-related needs. You will provide advice on topics such as drug effects/interactions, recommend suitable medications, and inform about medical topics such as proper nutrition or skincare. Additionally, you will prepare medications, such as ointments, for customers.

In order to do this, you will learn how to check chemical substances and medicinal and basic ingredients, and ensure their quality. The 2.5-year training program ends with a six-month internship in a pharmacy.

Note: This training is tuition-free for students residing within Toronto who start the program in September 2023.
