Contractor / Maintenance -Technician

We are a general contracting and property management company focused on providing high-quality affordable housing for residents throughout the Camden County Area for over 30 years is looking to expand its talented team and add a skilled maintenance technician to work on our and other properties.

As a Maintenance Technician, under the direction of the Property Manager or the Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the appearance and working order of individual apartments, exterior and common areas.

Beside general contracting projects we are renovating many of our buildings.


Responsibilities
In addition to your technical experience with Maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems and their maintenance and repair, you shall provide excellent customer service and task completion skills by

• Showing care and concern for our residents through timely follow ups and meticulous completion of the service tickets
• Resolving maintenance issues in the area of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
• Perform oncall emergency service as required (rotation shared with others)
• Report any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Property Manager or the Maintenance Manager
• Able to complete all tasks assigned.
• Must clean up after completing repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow directions

What you bring to us.

• 35+ years of experience in the trades, facilities and/or residential building maintenance
• Strong leadership aptitude and experience preferred
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades and appliance repair
• Basic carpentry, drywall and painting skills
• A safety mindset and an eye for detail
• A builder's mentality (know it like you built it)
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• A sharp professional appearance
• Must have a truck, tools and valid driver's license
• The ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force, climb stairs, use ladders and work in varying weather conditions

Requirement

• 35+ years of handson general construction/maintenance experience
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Rotating oncall responsibility for afterhours emergencies
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must have own tools

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
