- Be responsible for mold removal, mold setup and mold startups.
- Perform all tasks in a manner that supports all customer quality standards, company policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Be required to work overtime as needed.
- Perform maintenance both preventive and predictive, processing, complex troubleshooting and housekeeping.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of the injection molding process.
- Have a dedicated work ethic, good attendance record and good communication skills.
- Have the ability to work in a team or independently.
- Have at least 3 years' experience setting-up and troubleshooting molds.
- Demonstrate leadership by sharing knowledge with less senior team members and consistently pointing out opportunities for improvement.
- Be able to identify and/or resolve any molding related issue or escalate when necessary.
- Be required to participate in all training opportunities as directed by the manager.
- Be a backup for department supervisor when needed.
- Train and development both moldset specialist and process technicians.
- Advanced mold repairs and preventative maintenance with the ability to clearly communicate actions taken.
- Have a complete understanding of mold architecture.
- Work with local tool shops for pick & delivery and communicate what is needed.

- Lifting test to confirm ability to lift 50 lbs. from ankle, knee, and chest height to a level of ground, 35" and 55" height

The Engineering Department is looking to fill the role of Senior Mold Set Up Specialist in the Lee's Summit, Missouri facility. The Senior Mold Set Up Specialist is responsible for mold removal, mold setup and mold startups. The Lee's Summit facility is one of the primary manufacturing sites for producing customized thin-wall injection molded containers, lids, overcaps and custom packaging solutions for branded and private label food and consumer product companies all over the world. IPL is the trusted innovation partner to some of the biggest brands in the world and by working closely with customers to design and develop the right solution, millions of people around the world use our products every day.
