    WalletConnect is the web3 communications protocol that enables interaction between wallets and apps across different chains. From starting with a single API, we now handle millions of messages and connections monthly. Currently, our focus is on developing a range of web3 SDKs such as AppKit (formerly known as Web3Modal) and WalletKit (formerly known as Web3Wallet). Our goal is to empower developers to create compelling web3 experiences, ultimately expanding the reach of crypto to the next wave of users.

    We have secured $25 million in funding from prominent crypto and infrastructure investors like Union Square Ventures, 1kx, Shopify, Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, and Uniswap Labs Ventures. Established in 2018 by Pedro Gomes, we operate as a global, remote-first team that values transparency, simplicity, impact, and ownership.

    The Role:

    WalletConnect is looking for a Product Manager with a background in decentralization and a deep passion for innovating in the blockchain sector. As part of the team, you will report to the Head of Product. Our mission is to revolutionize developer interactions, and you will be involved in enhancing both new and existing products. Key responsibilities include:

    • Decentralization - Contributing to the decentralized evolution of our protocol and network to ensure long-term sustainability.
    • WalletConnect Cloud - Engaging with our App and Wallet builder clients to offer them the necessary backend tools for project insights and management using WalletConnect products.
    • Data team - Collaborating with our internal data team to enhance our data practices for improved internal insights and client engagement opportunities.

    This position presents a unique opportunity to influence the web3 landscape and redefine utility at its core. You will have direct interaction with the numerous builders utilizing WalletConnect products, showcasing your customer-centric approach. We seek individuals who can effectively tackle complex challenges and transform them into tangible customer solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Vision: Shape the future of customer products and protocol decentralization
    • Roadmap: Develop a focused and prioritized roadmap to align the team and partners
    • Driver: Lead the team towards achieving desired outcomes with organization and direction
    • Decentralization Design: Work with cross-functional teams to establish a comprehensive decentralized model aligned with company objectives.
    • User Experience Optimization: Ensure seamless user experiences by integrating decentralized functionality into our tools.
    • Community Engagement: Foster community dialogue, gather feedback, and drive awareness of benefits.
    • Partnership Management: Collaborate with partners for new opportunities and integrate with developers to expand decentralized utility.
    • Analytics & Iteration: Use data insights to optimize user engagement and retention strategies.

    Requirements

    Must have:

    • Demonstrated experience in product management within blockchain, cryptocurrency, or Web3.
    • Thorough understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency wallets, and on-chain transactions.
    • Effective team management skills with a focus on driving outcomes.
    • Strong analytical capabilities, translating data into actionable strategies.
    • Expertise in user experience principles, delivering intuitive products.
    • Market research experience guiding product strategies.
    • Ability to simplify complex scenarios for all audiences.
    • Track record of collaborating across teams and influencing stakeholders.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset for innovation and disruption.
