Oakleaf Partnership is partnered with a leading global asset manager in their search for a Global Payroll Manager/Payroll Manager – UK to join their growing payroll function.
This will be a multi-faceted role working very closely with the global head of payroll supporting the global payroll function and focusing on UK payroll.
Role
As Payroll Manager, you'll oversee timely and accurate payroll processing for the EU, UK, and US, collaborating with HR and payroll vendors.
Principal Responsibilities
Partner with HR and payroll vendors for timely and accurate EU, UK, and US payroll processing
Oversee UK payroll and provide backup support for international payrolls in case of staff shortages
Drive payroll-related projects and improvements, ensuring the team has the necessary tools and competencies
Maintain compliance with local laws, SOX controls, and participate in audits with the Global Head of Payroll
Provide leadership and hands-on support to the payroll team, fostering a culture of operational excellence
Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance payroll operations and delivery.
Oversee global payroll changes, implement new payrolls, and ensure alignment with regulations and company policies
Proactively manage payroll discrepancies, perform regular reconciliations, and mentor the payroll team
Work closely with the Global Head of Payroll and Tax for regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and process documentation
Support global mobility, maintain payroll confidentiality, assist in cross-training, and perform additional duties as needed
We are keen to hear from experienced Payroll professionals with ambition and drive. These individuals will need to have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a corporate environment.
Financial services preferred .
Requirements
:
8+ years of direct UK payroll experience and at least 5 years with EU payrolls
Bachelor's Degree from the US
Experienced in working with payroll outsourced vendors
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of other MS Office suite products
Advanced mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
Knowledgeable in payroll tax procedures, calculations, and entitlements like holiday, sick, and parental leave pay
Capable of working under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and operating with minimal supervision
Possess a positive, solution-focused attitude, excellent teamwork capabilities, and strong communication skills.
