Role Description

As a Quality Assurance Professional, you will be part of the CompuGroup Medical (CGM) South Africa Research and Development team responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality software to all our customers.

Your experience and proactiveness in the development of comprehensive test strategies, the execution of manual and automated testing activities and the logging and reporting of defects found will be of the utmost importance in ensuring the delivery of quality products by the CGM South Africa team.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to)

Attend daily agile Scrum sessions to provide status updates on QA activities.
Attend Scrum sprint and retrospective meetings
Execute on manual and automated test strategies that will enhance test execution, manual test coverage and the consistency of regression testing
Perform manual and automated test activities as per the test strategy
Create, extend and maintain the automation framework by creating new tests and maintaining existing tests.
Engage with business representatives to under QA requirements and scope
Provide QA estimations
Test case preparation
Participate in release processes by executing postrelease testing activities and confirming the overall QA status
Coordinate test procedures with other teams
Execute test scripts and review test results
Log test defects and technical issues to development teams or relevant responsible party
Help troubleshoot issues.

Minimum requirements

Testing Certification (ISTQB foundation level or Certificate Programme in Software Testing) or 3+ years' experience performing Quality Assurance testing activities.
Good knowledge of:
Testing methodologies
Software automation techniques
Test script design and development
Integration, functional and regression testing
Defect management tools e.g., Jira, Zephyr
A good understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development methodologies
Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing
The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Good writing and communications skills
