- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project specifications
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials according to project needs
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
- Inspect and repair damaged framework or structures
- Follow health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with other construction workers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Follow all local building codes and regulations
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as woodworking machinery
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail and excellent problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
