Description

The MRI Tech Assistant is responsible for administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, calling and confirming appointments, answering questions about MRI procedures, entering the results of radiological exams into databases and communicating with patients and family.

Clinical duties include taking patients' medical history, doing MRI safety interview and screening, escorting patients to the MRI department and positioning patients in the MRI scanner.

Must be able to lift 60lbs, and assist in helping patients onto MRI table. Must be able to read, speak and write English. High School diploma, 2 yr associates degree preferred. Nurse assistant training preferred. Must be good communicator and display compassion and concern for well being of patient, and maintain absolute patient confidentiality.

Hours for this position are Monday through Friday

CPR certification required.

Background investigation is required.
