- Provide daily Tier III engineering support (troubleshooting complex operational issues, performing root cause analysis, working with FAA staff, etc.) to a mission critical air traffic control system with a availability requirement.
- Integrate hardware and software system components within a lab environment.
- Develop test scenarios and conduct acceptance tests for Level 2 requirements of software applications and hardware.
- Coordinate the integration of remote radios and radars into the operational system while troubleshooting issues such as RF interference, hardware, and network issues.
- Implement changes to the operational system including deployment of software applications, adaptation changes, and remote upgrades of radios, network equipment and servers.
- Work daily with Field Engineers & Technicians to troubleshoot system issues.
- Independently work to prioritize customer issues and needs.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with 4+ years of prior related experience; 4+ years of ATCA, FAA systems, or NAS air traffic management industry experience. In Lieu of degree, 10 years of systems related experience.
- Experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.
- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting complex system-related issues, performing root cause analysis, and correcting issues.
- Experience trouble-shooting complex systems consisting of hardware, software, and communications systems.
- Understanding of the System of Systems National Airspace System (NAS) architecture and its relation to the NAS functional and performance requirements.
- Experience with integration of solutions into mixed on-premises and Cloud environments.
- Experience applying data analytics to enable risk-based decision making and efficient system operations.
