We are looking for an enthusiastic Pathology Transcriber PRN to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential

Job Summary and Qualifications:

Maintains established departmental and hospital policies, procedures, and objectives
Establishes and maintains laboratory records, reports, statistics, logs, and files consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies (e.g. CAP, DHS, JCAHO, FDA, AABB, CLIA, HCFA and OIG Laboratory Compliance)
Performs functions and activities in the office/transcription area of the Anatomic Laboratory
Transcribes, copies, distributes, and files pathology reports in a timely manner
Receives and follows through on phone requests from physicians and their office staff

What qualifications you will need:

Minimum of 5 years of hospital anatomic pathology transcriptionists and office experience desired
Excellent interpersonal skills that reflect a positive attitude and a sense of commitment to our customers, employees, and community
Knowledge of pathology transcription and medical terminology
Working knowledge of laboratory information systems
Ability to work independently
Strong oral and writing skills that communicate and motivate effectively
Ability to identify and prioritize issues and concerns, generate and analyze feasible solutions, and choose and implement an optimal course of action
