System Analyst IV - QA should be able to define Test Strategy and Test Plans along with development and maintenance of Automated Test scripts.- This position will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure high-quality software in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

Provides work estimates for testing activities.

  • This position will need to maintain internal lines of crisp and clear communication with all the teams involved.
  • This position works under mínimal supervision, will need to be able to make independent judgment calls, and report to IDD-BHS delivery manager.

Essential Job Functions:


EJF1:

  • Will serve as a technical expert responsible for working with nontechnical and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication is maintained throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. (30%)

  • Facilitate information sharing to ensure knowledge transfer and the elimination of single points of failure for an information system. This will be done through oneonone discussions, group sessions to review system documentation, preparation of documentation illustrating system architecture, workflows and dependencies for project deliverables. Update immediate supervisor, other management team members and system stakeholders as needed regarding recommended implementation strategies and solutions. (10%)
  • EJF 6:
  • Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

Knowledge of project development methodologies, principles and practices.

  • Skills and experience in Agile and Waterfall development methods
  • Skills and experience in SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
  • Skills and experience using Azure Devops equivalent Application Lifecycle Management Tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry testing tools, like but not limited to Katalon, Selenium etc.
- some experience in Test Automation.

  • Skill in project management best practices.
  • Skill in software development methodology.
  • Ability to analyze, coordinate and solve complex problems; work in a team environment; and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to effectively work both independently and with others.
  • Ability to work under pressure under tight time constraints.
  • Ability to create and verify test data.
  • Ability to use creative thinking and planning to solve problems.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely, and to read and analyze written materials.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming preferred.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:


Initial Selection Criteria:


Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, or a related field is generally preferred.

2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance preferred. Experience in performing mid-level Quality Assurance tasks. 1-2 years of experience in Test Automation preferred.
