Job Summary

Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Operations can expect to focus in the following areas:

  • Oversee all day-to-day operational activities that support the advisor's ability to deliver a fantastic client experience.
  • Ensure all transaction processing follows internal procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Maintain the complete technology stack, taking ownership and understanding of all tools and their various functions.
  • Implement new technology solutions to improve efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Onboard new employees, provide ongoing support, supervision, training and development opportunities for team members, offering guidance and informing best practices to build comfort with the tools.
  • Develop and maintain written standard operating procedures, howto documents, and workflow diagrams.
  • Create internal and clientfacing report packages, using portfolio accounting reports with data research from industry platforms.
  • Monitor and oversee thirdparty vendor performance as it relates to daily operations.
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely delivery of management reports to key stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and technology providers.
  • Establish and report on Key Performance Indicators to track and manage success.
  • Support Chief Compliance Officer in compliancerelated tasks and datagathering.

Qualifications
The Director of Operations position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Expert-level understanding of Client Relationship Management tools (CRM), Investment Operations, and Performance Reporting
  • General solid IT infrastructure knowledge and ability to work with IT vendor to ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Bachelor's degree required and minimum of 5 years working in the RIA Industry
  • Experience with Salesforce/Salentica, Envestnet/Tamarac and Custody Platforms (e.g., Charles Schwab)
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the firm in a fastpaced team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on business needs. Strong project management skills organized, detailoriented and able to multitask and prioritize
  • Proficiency in navigating various technology tools.
  • Proven ability to manage staff development and performance.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of operations.
