Our accredited institution has been offering quality ESL programs to college-aged international students since 1982 with campuses in Los Angeles, Irvine, and Rowland Heights.

We are currently seeking in-person ESL teachers for morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
-
1. The morning classes_
run from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Instructors would be compensated for 20 hours per week (18 in-person teaching hours and 2 remote prep-time hours).

2. Afternoon Business English classes_
begin at 12:30 pm and conclude at 4:40 pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Based on enrollment, the following schedule would be possible for afternoon Business English teachers in-person teaching hours and 1.

82 remote prep-time hours per week):


9:00 am to 11:00 am (ESL) Monday through Thursday

11:00 am to 12:30 pm (Lunch) Monday through Thursday

12:30 pm to 4:40 pm (BE) Tuesdays and Wednesdays

3. The evening class_
schedule would be 5:30 pm to 10:20 pm Monday through Wednesday and 5:30 pm to 8:20 pm on Thursdays (18 in-person teaching hours and 2 remote prep-time hours).


We also offer two professional development sessions per quarter led by our Academic Director and Head Teachers to guide our faculty in developing and/or learning new skills and methods.

Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop individual lesson plans that align with the school curriculum
  • Teach adult international students inperson with average class size of 1015 students
  • Design engaging and interactive lessons for adult ESL learners
  • Assign homework and projects to students via our online platform
  • Administer quizzes and tests
  • Grade students' work and provide constructive feedback
  • Record attendance and grades using the school's system
  • Submit monthly / quarterly reports for private tutoring students
  • Attend biquarterly faculty meetings & participate in professional development

Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in the Education field
  • Teaching ESL certificates / credentials
  • 2+ years ESL/EFL teaching experience (preferred)
  • Virtual teaching experience required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, Google Classroom and Cambridge One
  • Ability to learn and navigate new online platform
