QUALITY SUPERVISOR
Everest Formulations is a turnkey dietary supplement manufacturing company.

The Quality Supervisor will ensure that the company's products and services meet quality standards for both customer expectations and Federal Regulatory Compliances (cGMP).

In addition, the Quality Control Supervisor advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve quality regulatory demands.


Essential Job Duties

  • Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:_
  • Act as an agent that drives continuous improvement, building Quality in identifying and mitigating risk, and focusing on preventive actions.
  • Manage and oversee internal nonconformances and plant related CAPAs, ensuring that rootcause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and final dispositions are performed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Establish effective containment of all raw materials through finished goods that have failed to meet specifications preventing any inadvertent release of failed or questionable goods into the manufacturing and customer facilities.
  • Perform daily selfaudits (walkthrough) of processing and warehousing locations and report any quality issues daily to Quality Manager or above.
  • Manage sample retention for Customer samples, QC retains, lab samples and the HOLD Program.
  • Assist with plant internal audit functions and activities to be audit ready.
  • Ensure all QC procedures and policies are well known by all relevant staff and executed accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with the manufacturing staff to ensure that the plant hygiene is maintained in a state of control under FDA cGMP standards, implementing, improving, and monitoring critical cleaning and sanitization processes that prevent risk of contamination of the products.
  • Develop program for defect analysis of product, inprocess verification testing and sample submission.
  • Ensure all operations staff are trained and well versed in current FDA cGMP standards and understand their responsibilities in relation to Quality and Compliance.
  • Monitor the production processes and ensuing batch documentation to ensure that each batch and or lot is manufactured according to its validated process.
  • Review sanitation KPI metrics such as: ATP, Micro testing, Allergen swabbing etc. to ensure sanitation performance is maintained and reports to Management of findings.
  • Follow the facility's GMP, food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results.

Supervisory Duties

  • Performs a variety of leadership duties and job tasks within assigned department and/or work area, ensuring that all applicable safety laws/regulations, as well as state/federal employment laws that pertain to position are followed in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards, and workrules. _
  • Support Company policies, procedures, and workrules and ensures that department employees comply with policies, standards, and workrules.
  • Assist with interviewing and selection process of new hires for department, ensuring that nondiscriminatory laws and guidelines are followed.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to department employees; ensure that employees meet company standards and work expectations.
  • Counsel and discipline employees, as needed, to ensure compliance with Company policies, standards, and work rules. Perform annual evaluations for QC inspectors.
  • Set a positive example of leadership to others within the department and throughout the organization; promote a leadership style that encourages open communication, positive teambuilding efforts, and employee morale.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Bilingual English /Spanish a plus)
  • Outstanding planning and organizing skills as they relate to quality processes.
  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement processes, problem analysis and resolution.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant a field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate; and
