    Description


    Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility.

    We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

    What You'll DoDesign, build and operate integrated test labs for one of the world's first FAA certified eVTOL aircraftWork with subsystem stakeholders to develop mechanical test equipment requirementsDesign test rigs and test benches to be used in hardware integration test labsSelect commercially available components to be used in lab buildsComplete handbook calculations to verify margins of safety of your designsManage CAD library of test equipment in Team CenterManage external suppliers to procure lab components and/or manufacture Archer designed test equipment and oversee fabrication through final buy-offAid technicians in installation and check-out of test equipment to ensure proper function as designedWhat You Need5+ years of mechanical design experience with either product design and/or test equipment in aerospace, automotive, or a related industryBS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related fieldStrong engineering fundamentals with the ability to complete analysis without the aid of application specific softwareFamiliarity with aerospace or automotive lab test hardwareStrong mechanical design skills with the ability to own a project from requirements through detailed design and fabricationHands-on skills with both mechanical and electrical systemsBonus QualificationsExperience with Siemens NX and TeamcenterExperience with finite element analysisExperience with HIL test labsExperience with test instrumentation and data acquisition equipmentAt Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.

    We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $115,200 - $144,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
