    Description

    My client who specialize in designing and manufacturing capital equipment for the Semiconductor industry are looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to join their team, based in San Jose, California.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop the design of semiconductor equipment chambers and their supporting systems in alignment with both functional and engineering specifications, ensuring adherence to performance, quality, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives.
    • Ensure the quality and reliability of systems through the creation and execution of comprehensive test procedures.
    • Perform technical evaluations of process requirements, specifications, standards, and designs through rigorous technical reviews.
    • Identify and address a diverse array of complex mechanical issues by employing a broad analytical approach.
    • Undertake concept and feasibility assessments, engage in Research and Development initiatives, and validate new or modified designs.
    • Assist team members in generating detailed engineering documentation essential for the efficient manufacture of components and subsystems, facilitating both prototype development and large-scale production.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
    • 5+ years PECVD experience
    • Knowledge of CAD / CAE
    • Basic understanding of classical fluid, heat & mass transfer
    • Familiarity with ASME Y.14.5 and other relevant standards
