    POSITION SUMMARY:


    This position supports the work of the YMCA of Wichita Falls, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

    The Membership & Healthy Living Director at the Bill Bartley Family YMCA stewards the Y's cause, promoting and protecting the brand and reputation as an inclusive organization within the community.

    The Membership & Healthy Living Director leads to strategically increase membership, member retention, and the overall staff and member engagement to impact and strengthen the Wichita Falls community.

    This position will also oversee all aspects of the Health and Wellness programs to include hiring and supervision of group exercise instructors, wellness floor coaches, and personal trainers.

    The Membership & Healthy Living Director actively sits on our leadership team while participating in association quality teams with an open, honest, and respectful voice.

    As the leader of the Membership & Healthy Living Department, you will have the chance to drive strategic initiatives, learn and participate in a Capital Campaign for a new Aquatic Center, cultivate strong relationships with community partners, and champion a vision of member engagement, inclusivity, health, and empowerment.

    Your leadership will have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of children, families, and individuals from all walks of life, fostering a sense of belonging, building resilience, and promoting healthy living.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


    Provide supervision for the day-to-day operations of the Membership & Child Watch, and Healthy Living program including membership growth, membership satisfaction, membership wellness, and membership retention.

    Develop, implement, and oversee all health and wellness programs that reflect the community's needs and maintain the YMCA's high standards of quality, safety and character development.

    Hire, train, evaluate and supervise part-time staff team, directing staff on best practices and protocols.
    Develop and maintain budgets, new sales, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and management of member and program participant accounts. Complete and manage payroll minimizing overtime and being a good fiscal steward.
    Integrate a comprehensive health and wellness approach in all wellness programs for children, youth, teens, adults, and special populations.
    Maintain accurate records of staff certifications and training to ensure all required credentials are renewed as needed.
    Ensure all equipment is in working order. Coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
    Accountable for floor coverage schedule 100% of operating hours and gym monitor and group exercise schedule as needed seasonally.
    Implement membership promotions, recognition and appreciation activities, community impact and awareness events.
    Proactively assist with development, implementation, and expanding marketing tactics for membership, child watch, and healthy living programs.
    Will assist with the branch's Annual Giving Campaign and community events.
    Incumbent will implement all YMCA policies and procedures for risk management/ safety for all staff, volunteers, and participants.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, business or a related field, or equivalent, preferred.
    YMCA Team Leader Certification or willingness to obtain after hire, preferred.
    Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.

    Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.

    Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
    Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
    CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.
