Quail Creek is looking to add a Full time Financial Analyst to our amazing teamQuail Creek, located in the Green Valley area in the Town of Sahuarita, is a master planned active adult community for the 55+ population with more than 2,500 homes. Employees work at many of the amenities serving the residents of the community. These amenities include championship golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, creative arts studios and a clubhouse, a recently renovated Grille, a library and fitness center.
PURPOSE OF POSITION /SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst will oversee aspects of the financial operation of the Homeowners Association (HOA).
Responsibilities
may include the following but will vary on HOA operational needs:
Monitor and analyze the monthly financial statements and provide periodic reporting, as directed. Prepare annual budget. Conduct financial studies and assist in risk management reviews. Monitor 5-Year Financial Plan. Track and report on delinquent accounts. Prepare quarterly financial forecasts to year end. Track and report on capital purchases and other projects. Track and report on Reserve Fund.
Develop proficiency in Excel and other related software for financial and variance reporting for budget, capital and Reserve Fund and train others in use of Excel and other related financial software, as directed Performs other job duties as assigned.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor and analyze monthly financial statements and budget variances working with various committees and HOA managers as directed and provides periodic reports to the General Manager (GM), HOA Board and Finance Committee Chairman as requested.
- Prepare annual budget working with GM and GM's direct reports.
- Conduct financial studies, reviews, problem analysis, computer training for excel, budget and Reserve Fund related programs, and assist in risk management, as directed.
- Monitor 5Year Financial Plan prepared by HOA Finance Committee.
- Track and report monthly on delinquent accounts.
- Create and maintain a quarterly forecast to year end in conjunction with Corporate Controller.
- Track and report monthly on capital purchases and status of budgeted annual capital purchases and other projects.
- Monitor, analyze and provide monthly Reserve Fund reports including dues, CIF and interest revenues.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years experience in developing and analyzing budgets, financial accounting, long range planning, and
HOA operations. - BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent Leadership and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel
- Valid Drivers License
- HOA Experience required
