- Conduct on-site inspections of water treatment plant construction to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Monitor and document construction progress and activities, identifying any issues or concerns that may affect the project schedule, budget, or quality.
- Review and approve construction submittals, including shop drawings, material samples, and equipment specifications.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all inspections and related documentation.
- Review contractor payment applications and change orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Verify that all materials and equipment used in the construction meet the project specifications and quality standards.
- Comply with all applicable health and safety requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to owner and engineering staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water treatment plant construction or related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and procedures, including building codes and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with water treatment plant design, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and technical drawings.

Job Summary
Black and Veatch is seeking a skilled Water Treatment Plant Construction Inspector to inspect and monitor all phases of the construction of a water treatment plant, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in water treatment plant construction and possess a keen eye for detail.
