Job summary
The Cato Institute is seeking a full-time social media content producer in Washington DC to join and complement our existing marketing and communications team.The social media content producer will be responsible for drafting copy planning engaging multimedia content and developing implementing Cato's social media strategy across platforms.
This is a hybrid position in Washington DC with the projected salary range of $50 000 – $85 000 per year,

- Develop implement Cato's social media strategy across all major platforms Facebook Instagram X LinkedIn TikTok Bluesky YouTube Monitor news cycles trending topics identify rapid-response opportunities advance Cato priorities Plan draft post engaging multimedia aligned campaign goals messaging prioritize Ensure brand voice maintained cross platforms Work Senior Manager Social track analytics audience engagement growth Collaborate policy staff team amplify hits promote events highlight key stories initiatives commentary Work marketing effective advertising campaigns books initiatives cross platforms Ensure guidelines adhered staff cross platform Contribute think-tank broader efforts communicate ideas effectivelyRequirements
- Education Experience Bachelor degree equivalent professional experience At least one year professional experience social media production digital communications marketing including video editing graphic design script writing Strong alignment libertarian principles demonstrated understanding libertarian policy positions Demonstrated success growing reach effective messaging several platforms Knowledge experience using tools analytics platformsJob description
