Nexstar Media Inc. has an immediate opening for an Executive Producer who wants to be part of a leadership team that delivers news content for its duopoly in Washington DC Market #8.The successful candidate must have experience leading and sustaining continuous breaking news coverage and is passionate about the weather.
This is an opportunity to make a huge mark in the country's largest television broadcast group and get noticed in a top-10 news market.
Washington DC is the center of the nation's politics but also boasts more than 20 restaurants receiving Michelin stars alone.,
Responsibilities
- Evaluate stories; organize them into a cohesive sequence within a newscast or digital content for the web
- Ensure newscasts are highly produced teases are strong and content matches the newcast station brand adhering to research prioritiesDefine strategic direction for content coverage to meet business financial objectivesManage the morning team contribute to editorial process make solid decisions in breaking news situationsExecute strategies that engage grow audiences across all media devicesProvide timely feedback producers associate producers coach them become future leadersAssist identifying recruiting coaching high potential producers future managersProvide support special projects special programming outside regularly scheduled newscasts_,
