WakeMed has three acute care hospitals and a physical rehabilitation hospital for a total of 970-beds. We also have three healthplexes with stand-alone, 24/7 emergency departments and a variety of outpatient services throughout the region. Our physician practices are home to more than 350 physicians representing nearly every specialty.

We are currently seeking a Board Certified Surgical Oncology Physician with an interest and fellowship training in Surgical Oncology to join us.

We are looking for 2 experienced Surgical Oncologists to lead the development of the Surgical Oncology Division.
Our team currently consists of 20 surgeons, residents and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Our surgeons provide trauma/emergency general surgery, colorectal, breast, minimally invasive and bariatric surgery and a well established Cancer Center.

This position will focus on general surgical oncology, including but not limited to gastric, hepato-pancreato-biliary, neuroendocrine, as well as soft tissue tumors.

There is opportunity to teach resident and develop initiatives to expand quality oncologic care in the triangle region.
