Lab Technician | Hammond, IN

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Starting Pay: $17-$18.50/hr. DOE

Shift(s): 1st 8:30a- 5p

Requirements & Skills:

·Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures, and other chemistry and laboratory testing standards.

·Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

·Bachelors degree in chemistry with chemistry minor.

·Two years of experience in the related field

·Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.

Primary Duties Include:

·Assist and support the Quality Manager in maintaining product quality and integrity of all proprietary and customer products.

·Assist in preparing corrective and preventative action reports, and see they are completed to ISO standards.

·Test and maintain records of the boiler system water.

·Gauge and temperature storage tanks, tank cars, tank wagons and ISO containers.

·Practice proficient laboratory operations, record keeping, quality control, lab equipment maintenance, and calibration, and good housekeeping.

·Other duties as assigned.
