Senior Software Engineer

to join our innovative development team at

The Woodlands, TX . This is a Hybrid Role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems.

What You Will Do:
Design, develop, and deploy scalable and highly available cloud-based applications on Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and implement cloud-based solutions, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices in software development.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud-based applications, ensuring optimal performance.
Stay updated with the latest Azure services, tools, and best practices, and integrate them into existing projects.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall knowledge sharing within the team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Seven (7) years minimum of professional experience as a software developer.
Experience in programming languages such as C#, .NET, and proficiency in Azure-native languages.
Experience working with GIS tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
Familiarity with geospatial libraries and frameworks, such as GDAL, PostGIS, or GeoTools.
Experience with RESTful or GraphQL Web APIs.

Experience in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, IoT Hub, Azure Queues, Key vault, and Azure DevOps.

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with SQL & NQSQL databases.
Experience in Python with NumPy, Pandas packages.
Experience with Azure Experience with IoT protocols and frameworks like MQTT, AMQP, etc.
Experience with Message Queues like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, etc.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Security
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing progressive web applications using ReactJS, Angular is a plus.
Knowledge of geospatial web services (e.g., WMS, WFS, RESTful APIs)
Experience with time-series databases like Influx DB or similar tools like Prometheus, Timescale DB, Datadog etc.,
Experience in Oil and Gas business domain is a plus.
