    The Director of Training and Professional Development is responsible f

    or developing and overseeing onboarding and continued development opportunities for clinicians

    , including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

    to ensure high-quality services are delivered to clients following best practices.

    The ideal candidate will develop and refine processes to ensure clinicians are trained to competency and maintain competency across all components of their position.

    The position requires approximately 25% travel.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Professional Development and Performance Management (60%)

    Develop, maintain, and update training content, and measurement systems to ensure services remain current with best practices, emphasizing innovation and relevant updates within behavior analysis.

    Oversee onboarding training to meet requirements for the RBT credential as determined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

    Work in conjunction with regional and center directors to provide in vivo training for behavior technicians, including train-the-trainer procedures, to ensure fidelity with internal and external clinical standards.

    Develop, maintain, and update resources and tools that align and support the company's "grow forward" initiative for existing staff.
    Develop and oversee the implementation of tools used to measure clinical staff's readiness for promotion.
    Conduct, coordinate, and develop professional growth opportunities for clinical staff. This includes ensuring proper maintenance and standing as an Authorized Continuing Education Provider per the BACB.
    Personal Growth and Development (20%)

    Actively seek out opportunities for learning and development related to staff training and development. Including but not limited to comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant research and best practice standards in behavior analysis. Maintain and update Little Leaves procedures to align with practices.
    Operational Responsibilities (20%)

    In collaboration with the human resources department, develop and maintain measurement systems to identify supports needed for new hires to gain and maintain high-quality clinical standards.

    Performance Expectations

    Quality and Effectiveness:
    Track the percentage of clinicians completing required training programs within specified timeframes. Aim for a completion rate of 95% or higher annually.

    Standardization:
    Utilize assessments or performance evaluations to measure competency levels post-training. Achieve an average competency score of 90% or higher across all trained staff.

    Best Practices:
    Implement and track the adoption of innovative training tools and methodologies. Introduce at least two new training innovations per year that lead to measurable improvements in training efficiency or effectiveness.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
    Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or related discipline. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and license eligible if required per state.
    Minimum 3 years of experience as a BCBA managing a team and working with clients diagnosed with ASD.

    Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience with staff management, supervision, and mentoring resulting in strong teams and improved outcomes.

    Demonstrated commitment to behavior analysis, ABA principles and procedures, commitment to continuing to develop professional and leadership skill development.


    ADDITIONAL QUALIFCATIONS:
    Demonstrated history of successfully supervising, coaching, and developing people.
    Experience in establishing strong relationships with staff, caregivers, and other stakeholders.
    Experience reviewing budgets and monitoring operational and clinical data.

    Demonstrated intelligence and poise with excellent verbal, written, and live presentation communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively across stakeholder groups.

    Knowledge of best practices for working with children with autism including familiarity with CASP autism guidelines, state regulations, and payer specifications (e.g., insurance guidelines).
