- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other workers on company's contracted work
- Assist with choosing subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities
- First line of defense for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- 'Sounding board' for field technicians to bounce ideas off of to prevent issues and concerns before they arise
- Manage safety deliverables and expectations
- Comply with safety and building codes as well as Tennessee legal requirements
- Report project progress and budget to BEC management at various points through the project
- (Suggested reporting periods would be at 25% complete, 50%, 75% and 100% for billing purposes and labor forecasting)
- Explain and teach expectations of project outcomes, including technical matter to subcontractors and contract workers in a clear manner
- Prepare budgets for change orders, along with work timetables
- Communicate to company Owner and coordinate on communication with client
- Keep a mental list of tools and backstock of material for deployment on jobs to save money
- Daily download with company Owner to update on various projects, concerns, issues that we need to communicate to the client, billing opportunities, etc.
- Daily download with all field technicians to verify progress and nip issues in the bud
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Tech savvy, including e-mail, texting, Google Drive, and other software programs
