SUMMARY:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Reporting to Fertilizer supervisor
  • Help maintain and control raw material inventories required for liquid fertilizer production
  • Assist in the production, manufacture, and packaging of fertilizer products in accordance with AG RX and customer order requirements
  • Ensure that all manufactured or blended products meet CDFA regulations and standards, AG RX quality standards, and customer expectations
  • Assist in repair work for all departmental equipment
  • Actively participate in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of equipment as required and directed by supervisor
  • Follow the process outlined by AG RX in department documentation including inventory, production and delivery records necessary to meet all regulatory and AG RX requirements
  • Ensure that all liquid fertilizer operations are performed in a timely, safe and effective manner in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations and company policies
  • Keep facilities neat and clean
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

**Education and/or Experience
- **High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or/and one year blending experience and/or training.


Language Skills -Ability to read and write English proficiently.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as:
safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
. Ability to write routine reports
. Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and/or written communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.


Mathematical Skills - Ability to perform basic math functions in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
. Ability to compute ratios, rates, and percent.
Ability to perform basic functions with a calculator.


Reasoning Skills - Ability to independently follow instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
. Ability to deal with conflicts involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Must possess a valid California Driver's License, Class C.

Driving record must meet AG RX standards
. Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift certificate.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.

The employee may be required to wear a respirator occasionally.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with some occasion being high.


Pay:
$ $19.50 per hour
