- Assemble A/E and construction administration teams for design/build, design/bid/construct and other project delivery models as appropriate.
- Coordinate a multi-discipline team during the execution of a variety of engineering projects.
- Prepare fee proposals, draft contracts, and negotiate professional agreements with owners, contractors and/or subconsultants.
- Provide overall project management services during the programming, design and construction phases of projects as required. Projects will vary in nature and complexity and may include everything from horizontal civil/earthwork improvements to large vertical structures with a full array of mechanical, electrical and other specialty building systems.
- Coordinate with client staff, government agencies, and other professionals to facilitate projects.
- Prepare and route project related correspondence, contracts, submittals, pay applications, and other documents as required.
- Coordinate on-site inspection services and supervise on-site staff as appropriate.
- Conduct periodic site visits to active projects to monitor quality and progress of work.
- Manage internal budgets and schedules on assigned projects.
- Write and edit construction specifications, special provisions, and engineering reports.
- Tabulate bid items and calculate construction bid quantities from plans and specifications. Estimate construction costs.
- Provide business development support and other duties as required.
- Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in all work tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.
- PE preferred but is not required.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with large and diverse groups.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to clients, co-workers, and the public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer skills must include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.

Education and/or Experience
Baccalaureate degree or higher from an ABET accredited engineering or project/construction management program, or a related field, and at least 10 years prior work experience in design, project management, construction engineering or construction management required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
