Description

Duties:

Provide direct care and support to individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Assist residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
Maintain documentation and records in accordance with resident rights, HIPAA regulations, and agency policies.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and other caregivers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist with lifting and transferring residents as needed.
Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for residents.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with resident transfers.
Familiarity with resident rights and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
