- Support and coach families to use intervention strategies with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with disabilities
- Use a Family Guided Routines Based Intervention approach to serve children and families
- Collaborate with other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and families
- Use appropriate assessment tools to evaluate students, interpret results, write evaluation reports, and determine children's eligibility for Part C and Part B services per Minnesota state criteria
- Facilitate IFSP and IEP meetings and manage due process paperwork as the primary service provider for children receiving ECSE services
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Travel to homes is required and reimbursed per district policies
- Carry out responsibilities as defined by master contract and supervisor
- Current PreK-12 Speech/Language Pathologist Licensure through the Minnesota Department of Education
- MA as Speech/Language Pathologist
- Strong academic background
- Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with disabilities
- Knowledge of working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations and families
- Experience with completing Part C and Part B due process requirements

The ECSE Speech Language Pathologist will provide services for and complete assessment of children in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) within the home and community settings. This position is on the Early Intervention stretch calendar. The stretch calendar allows for additional breaks during the school year, and provision of services/assessments selected weeks during the summer months. (Teacher calendar = 185 days)
