    Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist

    Location: Junction City, Oregon

    Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Job Overview: The Junction City School District is looking for a motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team. The SLP will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them achieve their full potential in the classroom and beyond.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
    • Create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication development.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student assessments, therapy sessions, and progress.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional insights and recommendations for student goals and strategies.
    • Offer training and resources to teachers and staff on effective communication practices and interventions.

    Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    • Valid Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology.
    • Preferred experience in a school setting.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

    Requirements:

    • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.
    • Compliance with state and federal regulations for special education.
