Job Summary


The Staff Auditor I will perform and assist with compliance and operational auditing work of minimum difficulty of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe enterprises and government operations, and perform special projects as required or assigned.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits and special projects as assigned;
  • Ensure reliability and integrity of data accuracy to support the work performed as well as conclusions reached;
  • Identify causes of problems and assist in developing recommendations for changes;
  • Document assigned electronic work papers;
  • Perform necessary research in support of the review as requested/ required;
  • Participate in the design and use of audit procedures for the engagement.
  • Prepare, update audit program, and internal control questionnaire as needed.
  • Develop recommendations to address audit findings;
  • Assist in preparing audit reports to document findings; and
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested.

Education, Certifications and Experience Required
Associate degree plus two (2) years of work-related experience in an audit-related position or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above and as follows:

  • Willing to work towards earning an Internal Audit Practioner (IAP) Certification within three years (36 months) from the date of joining ASD;
  • Tribal government structure and operations;
  • Yaqui culture, customs, resources, and traditions, and/or a willingness to learn.

AND

  • Must sign and abide by Audit Services Department's:
  • Conflict of Interest, as well as
  • Code of Conduct and Ethics.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel);

Special Requirements:


  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word and Excel);
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License;
  • This position will require the incumbent to work nontraditional hours, nights, and weekends;

Pay:
From $46,664.02 per year

Schedule:
