    Description

    Lab Technician II - Construction

    Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) is seeking an experienced Lab Technician II to join the Building & Construction team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a great opportunity to develop a dynamic career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) sector.

    How you'll contribute at Intertek:

    • Conducting testing, project-specific observations, and site assessments
    • Operating testing equipment and performing geotechnical and construction materials laboratory tests
    • Utilizing drawings, specifications, and diagrams
    • Observing site activities and tasks with specific methods
    • Maintaining detailed documentation of test results
    • Communicating effectively with clients and project teams

    Requirements for success in this role:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 3 years of geotechnical lab experience required
    • ACI Strength or ATTI certification preferred
    • Familiarity with DOT requirements preferred
    • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills are a must
    • Basic math, calculator, and computer skills required
    • Ability to read and understand work plans
    • Must be flexible to work off shift and overtime

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull varying weights
    • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
    • Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for extended periods
    • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
    • Ability to climb occasionally and work at different heights
    • Must be willing to work overnight and off-shift hours
