About Firm wide AI

The Firmwide Generative AI Team at Morgan Stanley is a dynamic and innovative department that serves as a center of AI enablement for the firm.

The team is responsible for deploying advanced systems that utilize generative artificial intelligence to optimize business processes. The team oversees governance and control measures to ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies.

The team is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and provide education on AI technologies to other departments within the company.


Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Business Case Development:
Underwrite business cases specifically around potential benefits of deploying GenAI use cases.

Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plan for GenAI initiative, including timelines, milestones, and resources. Coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Stakeholder Management:

Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, including senior business leaders, to ensure alignment and buy-in on generative AI initiatives.

Manage expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise.

Risk Management:
Identify potential risk and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to drive alignment and synergy on GenAI projects.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track project performance metrics and KPIs to measure progress against objective and identify areas for improvement. Provide regular updates to leaders on KPIs and future plans.

AI Market Connectivity:
Stay abreast of latest AI trends and technologies and incorporate them into product strategy and development as appropriate. Attend AI industry conferences to gather strategic intelligence and insight.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Generative AI strategy / product management / experimentation or Innovation
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience in program or project management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fastpaced environment.
  • Solid analytical and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Management Consulting or Investment banking experience preferred.


Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.

However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
