Credit & Collections Clerk - La Porte, United States - Acuren Inspection, Inc.
Description
Position Summary:
Acuren Inspection is currently looking for a remote Collections Clerk to support our US operations.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely payment and minimize delinquency rates
- Conduct all customer contact in the spirit of providing friendly, courteous service
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, including customer contact details, payment arrangements, and collection notes
- Answer customer questions regarding their account status and billing issues
- Research disputes/short payments on customer accounts
- Liaison with billing admins to resolve billing errors and credit memo requests
- Recommend credit holds for delinquent accounts
- Identify bad debt balances based on company policy
- Provide regular updates to Office Managers and Controllers of AR delinquencies
- Identify and propose solutions to increase the effectiveness of processes and procedures
- Support local offices with dunning letters
- Prepare and distribute customer statements
- Support other areas of accounts receivable as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to professionally and effectively build relationships
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, MAS 500, Additional Acurenspecific systems, Additional clientspecific systems
- Experience working in an industrial environment would be considered an asset
