Job Title:
Utility/Facility Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance\inspections on machinery, systems, and facilities according to established procedures and checklists.
- Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, or malfunctions.
Repairs and Troubleshooting:
- Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and troubleshoot issues to identify the root cause.
- Carry out necessary repairs and replacements to restore functionality.
Equipment Adjustment:
- Make adjustments to machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Finetune settings to meet operational requirements.
Utilities/Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct maintenance tasks related to the physical facility, such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and general repairs.
- Collaborate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance activities.
- Report and address safety hazards promptly.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner, following Company work rules and policies, including cGMP(s)
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections utilizing our CMMS system as needed.
- Update equipment manuals and documentation as needed.
Inventory Management:
- Keep track of spare parts and consumables inventory.
- Coordinate with planning/procurement for the timely acquisition of necessary supplies.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other maintenance technicians, engineers, and production personnel to address maintenance issues.
- Provide support to production teams during equipment changeovers or modifications.
Training and Development:
- Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in maintenance practices.
- Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations promptly and implement temporary solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other teams to address critical issues affecting operations.
Requirements:

Education:High school diploma or equivalent. Higher education such as vocational or technical degree a plus.
Boiler operating licenses preferred and/or required by jurisdiction in locations where city or state requirements mandate licensing

Experience: years in utility/facility maintenance role, demonstrating proficiency in repairing and maintaining equipment (examples; boilers, air compressors, chillers, HVAC equipment)

Safety: Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in industrial settings.

Communication: Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting issues. Ability to give and follow oral and written instructions.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment. Able to work on off shifts and/or weekends as required.

Attention to Detail: Thorough and meticulous in performing inspections and maintenance tasks.
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, seeing and repetitive motions.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to work on feet.
Pay Range:
$30-45/hr
