Summary:


The Warehouse Facility Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and delegating the facility operations, workload, and maintenance; maintaining an active presence on the floor throughout the shift to provide direct support to their team and to ensure maintenance, receiving and operations needs are met efficiently and accurately.


Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Oversees building and grounds maintenance.
  • Coordinate scheduled Opening & Closing of the building. Weekdays and Saturdays (as needed)
  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  • Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility.
  • Secure company assets
  • Oversee Security of the building.
  • Plan landscape activities in the Spring/Summer/Fall seasons.
  • Plan Snow Removal & Salt Spread when needed with Maintenance team.
  • Coordinate custodial activities.
  • Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  • Oversee and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively, for the receiving and order processing.
  • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Communicate workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities

  • Oversee receiving/shipping warehouse operations and personnel.
  • Manage the efficient flow of inbound and outbound merchandise and supplies.
  • Review warehouse logistics and improve where possible.
  • Create and follow up on warehouse metrics reports as needed.
  • Follow all applicable safety standards in the receiving and shipping area.
  • Communicate daily inbound orders to operational teams and Account Executives and Inbound Manager.
  • Ensure on time delivery of Inbound merchandise to operational teams.
  • Maintain dock and storage facilities in an orderly and organized manner that facilitates proper efficiency and inventory control.
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of trailers.
  • Understand and demonstrate the Company's core values and operating principles.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures and safety standards.
  • Conduct daily status meetings with management team to review prior day's performance and to conduct monthly staffing reviews with the Inbound Manager to determine appropriate staffing levels for the Inbound and Operational teams.
  • Develop procedures to ensure the efficient operations and utilization of Receiving/Shipping dock.
  • Provide training and resources for the proper use of forklift and powered equipment.

Import and Export Responsibilities:


  • Training and support for the Traffic Department in:
  • Annual Bond renewal for Clients
  • Manage Dangerous goods at Huntington location

Schedule:


  • Monday
  • Friday (Available on weekdays when needed)
  • 8:30AM 6:00PM (Flexible with coming early and leaving late, depending on need)

Pay:
$60, $80,000.00 per year
