Job Title:

Job Locations:

Shift time:
(8:30am-5pm), Mon-Fri


Contract duration: 16 weeks + possible extension


Guarantee hours: 40 hours


Start Date: 05/06/2024


Roles and responsibilities:


  • Responsible for entering & maintaining admission information for patients into the electronic medical record system, including demographic, clinical & insurance information.
  • The Intake Coordinator also obtains authorization & reauthorization for services to be provided from a variety of third party payors, including commercial health plans, PPOs, HMOs, MediCal, CCS & other guarantors.
  • The Intake Coordinator works closely with clinical & billing staff to ensure optimum reimbursement for services rendered.

Minimum requirement:


  • H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare office; 3 years preferred
Proficient in utilization of Microsoft Office programs

  • Proficient in keyboarding and utilization of health carerelated computer systems
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience in Home Health / Home Infusion insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
  • BLS
  • Covid card

  • Immunization and flu shots (if the position offered)

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract


Pay:
$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
