PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for preparing multi-family property financial statements and owner reporting packages.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare bank reconciliations for operating, investment and escrow bank accounts. Calculate and record monthly management fees and owner remittances. Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow spreadsheets, and lender-required reports. Reconcile One Site reports and other supporting schedules to the general ledger. Prepare and enter journal entries to record reclassifications, non-tenant deposits, mortgage activity, etc. Prepare the financial statements and supporting reports for owner and other user distribution. Reconcile security deposit refunds to tenant and general ledgers. Initiate cash transfers and owner distributions. Research and resolve stale dated checks. Distribute the Multifamily cash sheet daily. Respond to inquiries from CPA's, clients, property management personnel, etc. Perform other essential functions as may develop over time, and/or as assigned by management.


OCCASIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Compute and perform excess cash distributions, as requested. Set up new properties and bank accounts in MRI software. Prepare the year-end audit packages and respond to auditor inquiries. Review the auditor workpapers and record the appropriate entries. Prepare special reports and supporting schedules as required by specific owners. Perform employee lease audit. Diligently perform other duties assigned by employee's supervisor.


EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:
High School diploma and college-equivalent Accounting

Courses; 2-3 years accounting experience; Excel skills


PREFERRED:
Experience with GL and Accounting software


SOFTWARE USED:
MRI; Microsoft Office; One Site; Intact


GENERAL NOTES:


This is a fast-paced position that requires careful self-review in order to prevent mistakes and identification of errors or omissions.

Ability to manage your workload and time management are key in order to meet fixed deadlines.

$60, $65,000.00 per year
