    Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer

    The Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a diverse set of products, including complex medical devices, robotics, and industrial equipment.

    This position requires an individual who enjoys learning new software technologies and working on the cutting edge of product development.


    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Collaborate and work in a fast-paced cross-functional team and environment and with client technical staff
    Use your detailed understanding of embedded Linux to design and develop optimum dataflows in a complex network of real-time and safety-critical processes demanding high data throughput

    Execute all elements of the software development lifecycle, including requirements specification, design, planning, code, code reviews, unit testing and verification.

    Communicate your designs to internal team members and client, and resolve feedback
    Execute with minimal guidance and strong initiative in a fast-paced environment.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    5-10 years recent experience working as an embedded software engineer using Linux
    Thorough understanding of Linux kernel development
    Demonstrated commitment to high quality
    Strong oral and written communication skills
    Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience

    Travel:
    Ability to work intermittent onsite in Westborough, MA.


    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
    Strong expertise in modern C++ 17
    Expertise in C, Bash and Python
    Strong hands-on technical abilities in programming, debugging, and troubleshooting in a Linux environment, including at the Linux kernel driver level
    Strong experience with modern SDLC processes (unit testing, static analysis, CI/CD)
    Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, SVN, or other industry-standard source control) and modern SDLC processes
    Experience using Agile techniques, including task / issue management


    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
    Expertise in Yocto or Buildroot
    Experience developing and maintaining Jenkins pipelines
    Experience in microcontroller firmware development in C/C++
